Turkey Roosts

“Turkey Roost”

Try out our “Turkey Roosts” for a scenic experience. These platforms have a tin roof and are set on a hill overlooking a beautiful ravine near the lake. There are 3 “roosts” with two levels each. Each level could sleep about 5 adults comfortably for a potential of 30 adults. There is a fire ring at the middle roost. There is no extra fee to use these.
The sites are set back a mile in the woods and are located around a small lake.

Canoeing, fishing, and swimming are allowed by campers only. A canoe key may be checked out when signing for the camping area. Paddles and life jackets are provided.

Chapel

The Chapel is a small, open-air structure that overlooks a beautiful lake.

There are enough benches to seat about 75 people.

The chapel makes a lovely place for a picturesque outdoor wedding ceremony.

The chapel has electrical outlets and lights.

To use the chapel, a Wedding Package reservation must be made. The Wedding Package includes the chapel and Pavilion 2 or the Atrium Room. A fee of $1500.00 plus a refundable $250.00 deposit is required totaling $1750.00. This fee is required within two weeks from the date the reservation is made.

The chapel is only to be used for religious purposes.

The Jackson United Methodist Church uses the chapel for Easter sunrise services.
